Sunday, Oct 26:
1. Last week the children sat around circle in front of their names in Farsi
2. we practiced the weather flash card, Aftabi, Abri, Barani, Barfi
3. work on flash card numbers 1-10 and to recognize them.
4. we studied the letter “Jeh” in Farsi.
5. learned about feelings, “khandeh” laugh, “geryeh” cry, “khosh-hal” happy, “narahat” sad.
6. played the game if you are happy and you know it… in Farsi
7. Read the book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See” in Farsi.
Sunday, Oct 12th:
1. recognizing their name in Farsi
2. the Alphabet song
3. colors
4. counting 1-20
5. recognizing numbers 1-9
6. the weather: Aftabi, Barani, Barfi
7. some fruits: tootfarangi, angoor, porteghal, holoo, moz
Please go over the above subject with them.
Sunday, Oct 5th:
1. showed the name card in Farsi to sit in circle in front of their names.
2. went over the weather flash card
3. reviewed all etters F, G, L, H, Y
4. reviewed numbers 1-9 and did a new game holding bumble bee flash cards and matching them with my cards.
5. checked the notebook, remind them of the calendar and need to have parents help with home works. (Please glue children’s work after they are done and bring every week).
6. reviewed the seasons, alphabets, counting to 20, fruits poster.
7. read the last week’s book again about 5 little monkeys
Sunday Sept 28th:
1. showed the name card in Farsi to sit in circle in front of their names.
2. went over the weather flash card
3. reviewed letter “heh” and introduced letter “yeh”
4. reviewed numbers 1-6 and introduced 7-9.
5. showed everyone the new notebook, remind them of the calendar and to ask parents to make a note for each day! (Please glue children’s work after they are done and bring every week).
6. did a game with our fingers about family. Each finger was Mother, Father, daughter, son and baby (modar, pedar, pesar, bradar, dokhtar, khahar, bacheh). We also talked about aunt and uncles and grandparents in Farsi (khaleh, dayee, ameh, amoo, mothar and pedar bozorg)
7. translate a book in farsi about 5 little monkeys (meymoon) making fun of Mr. Alligator (soosmar) on the tree.
